What is the "Clear out FBM inventory on this FBA listing" tool?

When an Amazon SKU used to be merchant-fulfilled (FBM) and SKULabs pushed stock to it, then the SKU was converted to FBA, Amazon can still hold that old FBM quantity. If Amazon mistakenly reactivates the FBM offer (for example during a batch update, or when a listing tool or PIM updates the product), you can receive merchant-fulfilled orders for stock you do not have. This tool sends 0 stock to the old FBM offer to prevent that.

Where to find it

  1. Open the item or kit and go to its listings.

  2. Find the Amazon FBA listing. In the stock column, a red lightning bolt button appears next to the last pushed quantity.

  3. Hover over it to see "Clear out FBM inventory on this FBA listing".

The button only shows on active FBA listings that SKULabs pushed stock to (more than 0) while they were FBM. On other listings the same button is blue and simply re-pushes stock.

What happens when you click it

  • SKULabs sets the listing's stock rule to 0 and treats the listing as FBM for the next stock sync.

  • On the next stock sync, SKULabs pushes 0 to the merchant-fulfilled offer on Amazon.

  • After that the button no longer shows, because the last pushed quantity is 0. Your FBA stock is not affected.

Good to know

  • SKULabs never pushes stock to FBA listings on its own. This tool only clears the leftover FBM quantity from before the conversion.

  • The stock rule stays at 0. If you later convert the SKU back to FBM, change the listing's stock rule so SKULabs pushes real stock again.
