Why do I keep having to reset my password?

Updated over a month ago

SKULabs requires password resets according to the password policy associated with your account. In some cases, additional resets may be required to protect the security of your account and data.

For security purposes, your password may need to be reset or reapproved by an account administrator using the "login as user" feature.

Passwords must meet the following security requirements:

  • At least seven characters long

  • Contain one uppercase letter

  • Include one symbol

  • Be unique and not reused across multiple accounts

For added protection, users are required to change their passwords on a regular basis.

The current schedule is as follows:

  • Regular users: once per year

  • Amazon-connected accounts: every quarter, as required by the January 2021 Amazon MWS Data Protection Policy

If your account shows unusual activity, we may require an immediate password reset to confirm your identity and maintain account integrity. The PWNED_A_LOT error may appear in these situations.

This error can also occur when the password you enter does not meet the required security criteria. All passwords must:

  • Contain at least seven characters

  • Include at least one uppercase letter

  • Include at least one symbol

  • Be unique and not reused across multiple accounts

If you experience repeated password resets, contact the SKULabs team for a closer review of your account.

Our representatives can help you enforce stronger password policies, set up regular rotation schedules, enable hardware authentication, or apply strict IP access controls to improve overall account security.
